Suggest Remedies For Swollen And Painful Blood Vessel In Finger
I have a strange squirrelly blood vessel in my finger that have swelled and now hurts when I pick heavy things. It started as a squiggley blood vessel that was very visible under the skin. For years I just watched it now it hurts or stings when I hold things.
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you should get it reviewed for any signs of systemic vasculitis or AV malformation.
Vascular surgeon review and repair may be needed in that case but before that anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen or immunosuppressive therapy may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
