General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I recommend to apply alternating cold and warm compresses, but not hot pads.

Plus, apply local analgesic cream containing menthol.
Do massage with essential oils (lavender oil).
Take over the counter Ibuprofen or Mephenamic acid, and Magnesium (not more than 400 mg/day) for the pain.

If no improvement, should see your caring doctor as we should rule out more serious complications.

Wish fast recovery.
