General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your short and specific history about feeling of a foreign body in throat.
Most of the times the cause is granular pharyngitis, epiglottitis and aphthoid ulcer and so on.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
First of all stop doing anything at home as this would increase the problems as seen in our private practice.
Take an appointment of an ENT Surgeon for an ENT Endoscopy to see for the cause.
This will allow the definitive treatment.
Till then you can take a PPI like Omeprazole and anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
ENT & General Surgeon
