Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my child suffering from asthma since 1year.he is 5.8 years old taking puff regularly of budecort 100mg at night now.i m worried about his health because he is not going school regularly.he is always have a problem of travelling he become ill when travelled.feeling vomiting or fever comes noisy breatnhing while sleeping.coughig when out side or fried food or colored food creamy cake he ate.please help me in this matter.
This means that his asthma is not well controlled and his doctor needs to adjust his medication.
In addition to changing his preventer medication/inhaler, he also needs control of the risk factors or triggers for his asthma episodes. The noisy breathing may be due to nasal congestion and this is commonly due to allergies, allergies can cause post nasal drip of mucus to the back of the throat and this worsens asthma.
He should be reviewed by a pulmonologist (lung specialist).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
