Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi,Sir I m suffering from typhoid fever and dengue from 20august and was into x hospitalised, but now I m not having any fever for past 2 days, only platelets gone down to 9000 on machine counting, can you please suggest as I m not having any fever but the as the platelets are low, hence my typhoid is still there or not,I m asking your support as my doctor is not cooperating as well as not willing to disclose the same.
From your description, I sympathize with your confusion and health. I would like to know do you have any gastrointestinal symptoms, any abdominal pain? Were you treated with antibiotics? As your platelet count is below 10000, has your doctor prescribed platelet transfusion? Dengue is a viral fever which is self-limited in 5-7 days, lots of fluids is the treatment for Dengue. If you are not having a fever, then I presume that your typhoid is gone too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
