Suggest Remedies For Upper Abdominal Pain And Pain In Mid Back

I have a pain in my right upper abdomen and right mid-back. It is worse with movement. The back part is better with ice. It is stabbing pain. It is tender when touched. Is it a muscle strain? I am not sure what may have done it. I have had it for a almost 2 weeks. I do swim and ride bike, but not vigorously.

Hello,

Because the pain is worse when you touch the area and because it is better with local warm compresses, very likely this is muscular pain.

I would advise you to use Ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours after food and paracetamol 500 mg every 6 hours, together with the ibuprofen.
You may apply local warm compresses 20 minutes 3-4 times a day.

If you are not better in another week, or if you are any worse, or if you develop any new symptoms you will need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
