General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to osteoarthritis.

For further assessment, he may require MRI knee joint after orthopedician consultation.

For pain, he can take tablet acetaminophen.

He may require calcium tablets after consultation.

Use the knee cap. In case of the severe pain, he may require knee transplant after consultation.

Use support while walking.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
