Suggest Remedies For Whole Body Itching While On Norco

hi, my dr gave me norco and i have been taking them for years, but now anything over 4 a day edi start to itch. well the dr put me on percocet and i itched soo bad, i can take one than i took a half one day and a whole another day and boy did i itch! so question is what pain pill is next? duilid or morphine ?

Hi,

Itching is a very common side effect of opioids. Anti-histamines (like Cetirizine) can be tried to relieve the itching. If the itching is not relieved with anti-histamines, then switching to other kind of opioid like hydromorphone (which do not cause the intense itching) can be tried.
