Suggest Remedies To Abort A Pregnancy In Spite Of Taking Mifegest

i am 27. on 50th day i had taken mifegest pills (3 Tablets together as one Dose and then after 48hrs Cytotec 2 Tablets together as one dose). it was heavy bleeding. after 14 days still it is bleeding but slightly. today (15th day of taking pills) i tested pregnancy with Preganews. it is showing positive. i am confused. am i still pregnant? can i take the abortion pills for the second time? i don't want to go for surgery. what should i do?

Hi,

Generally, you should take tablets for termination of pregnancy only after consulting the gynecologist and undergoing and ultrasound. According to your description the possibilities are:
-In case of any retained products of conception, you can have prolonged bleeding and a urine pregnancy test can give a positive result.
-Sometimes, if there are no retained products also urine pregnancy test kit can give a positive result of 2 to 3 weeks due to minimal elevation in serum beta HCG levels.

Now what you can do is, please consult your gynecologist once, get examined and undergo an ultrasound. With this the possibility of retained products can be ruled out and if there are no return products, no need to worry. Possibly in a few days your bleeding will stop and also urine pregnancy test kit can show negative result as serum beta HCG levels will decrease.
