Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I HAVE COPD. I EAT A SENIOR S CENTER LUNCH ROOM. THE STAFF INSIST ON BLASTING VERY STRONG AIR CONDITIONING FROM VENTS IN THE CEILING DOWN ON US AS WE EAT. THE TEMPERATURE IN THE ROOM WAS 71.2 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT . WE TRY TO DRESS BUT THE BLASTS OF VERY CHILLY AIR SEEM TO GET THROUGH ALL OUR CLOTHES. THE AIR OUTSIDE THE BUILDING CAN BE QUITE PLEASANT AND AC IS NOT NECESSARY. IS THIS AC TEMPERATURE ENDANGERING OUR HEALTH? WE ALL ALL SENIORS WITH VARIOUS TYPES OF MEDICAL ISSUES. THANK YOU
