Hi, I am 61 yr old female, 5 yrs post hysterectomy, who experienced bad menstrual migraines and PMS symptoms in my 40s. I asked for progesterone for this problem, and it cured it immediately. I took it 3 days/month. I now find that I experience strong PMS-like symptoms at the time of a full moon (yes, I know, a lunatic!) Would it be irrational to think that progesterone could be helpful in this instance as well? The symptoms last for 3 days, but are very difficult for myself and especially the family to deal with?!! Thank you in advance. Kathy Lloyd

Suggest Remedy For PMS Like Syndrome
Hi. I had gone through your query. PMS is very troublesome then treatment require. Besides hormonal therapy psychological intervention is necessary. You have to take medicines 5 days before the time of PMS and continue after 5 days. Medicines include SSRI and anxiolytic. Setraline/escitalopram in low dose are advisable in PMS. Proper evaluation is must before taking any medicines. Differential diagnosis is necessary because you had already hysterectomy so need detail psychological evaluations of your symptoms. I hope i have answered your query, Thank you.
