Suggest Remedy For A Huge, Painful Hematoma Post Injury

A few days a go, I felt on a floor in ceramic. I had a hematoma. A few days later the hematoma was as big as an apple. I had to see a cardiologist who send me to emergency. Doctors first told me that they will have to do a surgery... so I was to be prepared to undergo a surgery. But cardiologist had discussion and 4 hours later told me that they will not do a surgery as there might be secondary effects such as infection, etc. The hematoma is still there and I suffer a lot. What do you think of the cardiologists decisions?

Hi,
With removing of blood from hematoma there might be having chances of infection.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for some time will help to reduce hematoma.
If require aspiration of blood with wide bore needle can be done if your cardiologist permits.
It is not clear that are you on any blood thinner medicines.
Ok and take care.
