Suggest Remedy For A Hurting Scar On The Foot

I had an operation on the foot when I was 13. Im now 25, the operation was to remove an extra bone that had grown over the joint of my foot. What has happened is that the scar started hurting today as if it was still healing. It s feintly throbbing, It feels exactly as it didbwhen I had the surgery, except not as severe. Is this normal?

Hello,

I can understand your concern for hurting scar on the foot.

It appears that the skin over the scar is still tender and have bit keloidal tendency. There are multiple options of treatment:

-By applying certain creams such as Allantoin based cream or Extractum Cepae or silicon gels over the affected area.

-By intralesional injection of triamcinolone

-By Blue light therapy with lasers.

You can discuss all the options with a dermatologist to get earliest relief.

All the best.
