Good evening dr. I m a 57 yr.old lady who s had quite afew health issues. Just got out of the hospital...but I have had a normal skin mole thing under my left armpit for ages....ths morning while dressing I noticed it is black! Not sure what to make of this.. ..any idea? Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of mole in the left armpit which is something you should be very careful about. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and dry as much as possible. Don't apply any kind of moisturizing creams/lotions over the affected area. Clean the area with lukewarm water twice a day and apply an antibiotic cream like mupirocin gel over the area twice daily. 2% mupirocin ointment, twice daily for a week can be applied topically for faster relief. If in-spite of the above measures, the lesion persists or continues to increase in size, then you might need a course of oral antibiotics along with pain killers.If condition keeps on persisting visit dermatologist once and go for biopsy of lesion to rule out any malignancy and start treatment after proper examination microscopic and histopathological.
