Suggest Remedy For A Radiating Pain From Hair Line To Eye Due To A Red Bump

I have a painful red swollen bump on my hairline. The pain throbs down to my eye and ear. Its been there for two days and each day gets more painful and swollen. I ve kept ice on it to help with the pain and put witch hazel on it but nothing seems to work. Its beginning to effect my eye since the throbbing never stops. I don t have insurance. is there anything that can help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the increasing size of this lump may mean that it is related to infection.

It may be an abscess which is a collection of pus, it can cause an increasing tender swollen area.

If you do not have a private doctor then it may be possible to go to an emergency center or walk in clinic for treatment.

I hope this helps
