Suggest Remedy For A Small Hole Caused By Staph Infection

I have had multiple staph infections over the past 6 months. The latest one is on my back of my thigh and gone down quite a bit due to being on antibiotics but today I pulled the core out and it left a pencil sized hole. Should I get it checked by a doctor or leave it alone?
