Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Pain And Vomiting While On TB Medicines
Hi, I am female age 26 and I was diagnosed with TB (as per the symptoms:Severe total abdominal pain, Ascites, Lymphadenopathy etc.. )but PCR test was negative, They have given FORECOX to take in the morning. Till 4 days it was ok, and was relieved from abdominal pain but thereafter I started to vomit and feel very dizzy, though I was using Domperidone it is not subsiding and the whole FORECOX is coming out, I have taken it second time but again I had vomitings. What should I do
* As per my clinical experience, the abdomen pain and vomiting are secondary to anti tuberculous drug induced gastritis with or without underlying ulcer disorder.
* My guidelines at present
- drink more liquids in sessions
- prefer bland vegan diet
- prescription of anti emetic as ondancetron ( 4 mg ) with sips of water on empty stomach
- proton pump inhibitor as rabeprazole ( 20 mg ) with sips of water on empty stomach
- avoid spices and junk foods
- temporary intake of FORECOX has to be withheld
* Depending upon the results of above, one may have to undergo for upper GI endoscopy further or else.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
