I started taking Lipitor at the end of May and several weeks later I started having abdominal pain. My Dr. examined me and then ordered a CT Scan to rule out any problems. The CT Scan only showed arthritis in my lower back which I had before starting the Lipitor. The discomfort starts as soon as I get up in the morning and lasts all day until I go to bed at night. It is like mild cramps. Some days I have more discomfort than others. Is this a side affect of the Lipitor that possibly will go away after time. I take the Generic brand. Thank you.
