Suggest Remedy For Acne And Scar Problem

roaccutane.i am healthy male with acne, have been prescribed by dermatologist, have read up and worried about some of the serious side effects, i have taken course of antibiotics up till now for a year as well as creams, it has improved but still gets some spots and also have scars...im not sure what to do now as i have been told accutane will likely get rid of it once and for all...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query acne and scars on the face along which occurs when a pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with dead skin cells causing the area to become red and swollen. It could be due to hormonal change during puberty , androgen hormones stimulate more sebum to be produced and a greater amount of skin cells to proliferate. Exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant..If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis .Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy. You can take sittings of chemical peeling, micro-abrasion as well. You can take oral tablet as well, best drug for resistant acne is isotretinoin. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore.
