Suggest Remedy For An Itchy Nose

Its about an itchy nose.... I ve noticed in last couple of years, that when i spend time with a friend of mine, my nose starts to itch and it gets worse and worse as time passes by. After we go our separate ways the itchines stop. We talked about it and we tested it out. 1. its not enviromental (we spent time in several different cities in sevelar different venues.. same thing) 2. Its not anything she might use (cosmetic or perfume; couple of times she without anything and still the same thing happens) 3. its not a placebo effect, or just in my head (After a big period of time passes and we go out together i forget that happenes when we are togethre.. untill it starts, usually 20-25 minutes of being together) 4. As for the fabric softener or something like that, i m not entirely sure, but i meet a lot of people who probably use bunch of different stuff (somebody probably uses the same as her), and i don t get itchy around anyone besides her. So.. that it. Any insight? Thank you in advance and sorry for bad english p.s. 26 year odl male.. if thats important

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
I feel this is a curious case.
Itchiness of nose is a typical feature of nasal allergy. It would have been more clear if you explain the site of itch, whether it's inside or outside the nose.
Allergic itchiness is usually associated with watery discharge, sneezing or nasal block.
As I said, I find this curious because you searched everywhere to find an allergen but couldn't find any.
But I have to remind you that not only allergens, environmental temperature changes, emotional changes, neuronal changes, everything can cause rhinitis.
There are multitude of causes discussed in textbooks.
So, it's better not to dwell over it and try some antihistamines.
