Hi,I am Dr. Robert Galamaga (Hematologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am a 58 year old male, 170 lbs, physically fit, eating healthy. All recent physicals normal, colonoscopy 2yrs ago normal. Recent blood work shows I am anemic! These values test low: Hemoglobin is 12.9, hematocrit is 39, mcv 80, mch 26.7, rdw 16.9 (high). What kind of doctor should I begin with, an internist or a hematologist?
