Hi, I am 29 years old and just had a sinus infection and have chronic allergies/hayfever. I have pretty much stopped smoking, but every few days i might have 2 cigarettes. After I smoke the 2 cigarettes, the next day I have a bit of chest pain on my right side, under the collar bone and leading towards the armpit area. Am I having this pain due to my allergies? I had a few x-rays done of my chest and everything was normal and had an ekg done as well, and was normal. I have had a bit of anxiety ever since I quit smoking lately.
Hi dear, anxiety is due to withdrawal effect of smoking. and pain in right side is due to hyper acidity due to smoking. so best way to get rid of smoking and if you have any problem there are medication with whom we relieve the problem. so consult psychiatrist which help you to quit smoking. thare are many drugs like Bupropion, nicotine replacement therapy also benzodiazepins to relive withdrawal effects etc... discuss with psychiatrist. Thank you
