Suggest Remedy For Anxiety With Hot Flushes

Hi! I am a 38 year old female. I have been experiencing a flushed warm feeling and then get tingly all over. I get diarrhea and begin to feel dizzy. It gets me really worried and I begin to panic. After I calm down, I feel better, but am really sleepy. Is there something really wrong with me or is it panic attacks? My son suffers from OCD and anxiety disorder. I wonder if he got it from me?

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
Flushing, tingling, dizziness and diarrhea are most probably due to panic attacks.
But I would also suggest you to get your blood pressure checked. A ECG would rule out any heart problem (to be on safer side).
Anyhow, a regular meditation and yoga will help you to stay calm and out of stress.
You must avoid caffeinated substances like tea and coffee as these induce anxiety.
A tablet of klonopin (prescription drug) can be taken at times of intense anxiety.

Anxiety disorders are sometimes inherited in families and possibly in your family too.

Hope this answers your query.
Take care
