Suggest Remedy For Bad Cramps During The Menstrual Cycle

I have always had really bad cramps with my menstrual cycle. Just recently my past 3 cycles I have had a shooting pain in my shoulder that goes to my neck and every once and awhile when I breathe I feel like I have a really bad heartburn feeling in my shoulder. I have asked my gyno and regular doctor for medicine for cramps and they told me to take Aleve. It doesn t work. What can I take? I am a very healthy 31 year old. I do cardio and lift weights 5 to 6 days a week. I know I have not injured myself this happens when I start my menstrual cycle.
