Hello,
Staph infections are caused by
staphylococcus bacteria, commonly found on the skin or in the nose of even healthy individuals. Most of the time, these bacteria cause no problems but in circumstances of low immunity and if it invade deeper into your body, this germ can cause very dangerous infections.
Treatment usually involves antibiotics and drainage of the infected area. The infection can be stopped if is used the right antibiotic. Antibiotics commonly prescribed to treat staph infections include certain cephalosporins such as
cefazolin, nafcillin,
vancomycin, telavancin, or
linezolid. Vancomycin increasingly is required to treat serious staph infections because so many strains of staph bacteria have become resistant to other traditional medicines.
Your doctor may perform tests to identify the staph bacteria behind your infection, and to help choose the antibiotic that will work best. My advice is to consult your local physician for the right treatment of staph infection and a
neurologist for the balance and coordination problems.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
