Suggest Remedy For Black Patches And White Spots On Swollen Tonsils
Went to see my doctor this morning with rather acute tonsillitis. She prescribed penicillin which I have started to take but symptoms have for worse. The right tonsil is so big I can no longer swallow food or drink and am spitting saliva out so as not to have to swallow. I have noticed black patches on my right tonsil too as well as the white spots that are still there. Should I go back to my doctor tomorrow?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the white and black patches seems to be due to infection only and you need not to worry and continue taking the antibiotics Penicillin and also take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. Do warm saline gargles and steam inhalation.. Chew Vitamin C pallet daily.. Suck throat lozenges..
In case if it still doesn't improve in a week or condition worsen consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
