Suggest Remedy For Blackening Of Lips

Why are my lips turning black.? Before my top lip was brown and my bottom lip was pink and then out of no where I started getting blacknow spots on them and it s spreading, even on my inner bottom lip. I don t take any medications. I m a teenager I dont smoke. And the only lip product I have been using is e.o.s. lip balms witch I had no problem with because I have been using it without issue until now. But I often forget to put lip balm on when I go running and I have to lick my lips and I do wonder if this may have caused this. At this point I m lost and I have no idea of what s doing this to my lips and I just want to find out why. Because soon both lips look to both turNing fully black.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. The darkening of lips might be due to environmental assault like dryness, sun exposure etc. Continue a good lip balm with some sunscreen. Apply it frequently say every 2-3 hours or as desired. Also, apply honey at night. Hope it helps.
