Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I broke down on a wooded road and of course my phone was dead, so I began to walk when two big dogs started to chase me. The only thing I could think to was to run into the woods. It was dark and I was in shorts a task and flip flops. I ended up with hundreds of scratches on my arms, feet and legs. Some bled. Do I need to go to an ER?? help
I would definitely suggest you to visit the ER to take care of your wounds.I would recommend to get a TT(Tetanus toxoid ) injection to prevent tetanus due to wound contamination.
Thorough washing of the wound with antiseptic solution is required. You have not mentioned any dog bite or scratches. In case of such history, Anti rabies vaccine full course should be taken without fail.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
