Suggest Remedy For Bloating, Headache And Brown Discharge Post Cytotec Intake

Hi. I took ctotec after 12 weeks of pregnancy and now I have a few issues that I am not sure as to whether they need doctor s attention. My belly is getting bigger, I have terrible headache, my stomach is painful and Im now getting brown mucus-like discharge. It has been 4 days since I took cytotec. Please help me

HI,
I understand your concern.
* I don't know why did you take Cytotec. ..
- If you had taken it for treating / preventing ulcers induced by NSAID anti inflammatory drugs... it should be stopped/ replaced by safer drug after consulting your treating doctor..(. because it is contraindicated in pregnancy as it has a property to cause abortion/ Fetal abnormalities/ premature birth)
- If it was given for inducing abortion.. it is usually preceded by Mifepriston. Cytotec alone will not have desired effect.
* The bloating you have is because of gastrointestinal side effects of the drug...
* in addition because of pregnant state..The brown discharge is the effect of uterine contractions caused by the drug leading to abortion.
** the increased size of belly along with cramps in stomach indicate urgent visit to ER.. get your health evaluated to find drug's effect on pregnancy & prevent/ treat any possible injury to uterus.
- Take rest, take liquid nourishing drinks only, do not foment or massage abdomen... till you reach proper medical aid.
