Suggest Remedy For Blood Blisters Causing Bruises On Forearm
I am developing very red bruises with blood blisters on my forearms (and only on my arms). I can barely bump against something and this happens. My skin will peel back from just me scratching my arms and I ll bleed for a bit. Both of my arms are affected by these blood blister looking bruises. My doctor ran a CBC, LFT and checked my platelets and all my blood work came back without an explanation as to why this is happening. I am only 41 yrs. old. I do not take any blood thinners, aspirin or ibuprofen. I do take 500 mg. of metformin 1xday, 50 mg. of metoprolol 1xday and 10mg. avortastatin 1xday.
Hello and welcome to HCM, I would like to clarify a few things. Since how long have you been having these symptoms. Has it been since childhood and does anyone else in the family have similar complaints. How long have you been on these medicines. Few options to consider are- Diabetes related skin blistering, Drug related allergies and reactions. Importantly a condition called epidermolysis bullosa( adult type) and other blistering disorders must be considered. have you been applying any creams long term on your skin? i advise you to see a good dermatologist and do a skin biopsy of the area for better results and exact treatment as soon as possible. For now, use an antiseptic ointment like fusidic acid over the wounds to prevent infection.
