Suggest Remedy For Blood Blisters On Toe

I have an extremely large blood blister from the tip of my big toe, under the nail and under the skin of the top of the toe down to the knuckle caused by a crush injury when a steel wheel rolled onto my foot/ It is huge, still very pliable after 3 days, but not very sore. Am I in any danger of injuring the toe joint if the blood is in it and then begins to coagulate (and expand, I assume)?
