Suggest Remedy For Blood Clots In Lungs

My husband, age 72, just had rotator cuff surgery. Since then he has been very lethargic and has had shortness of breath. He has an X-ray which showed nodules on both upper are of his lungs and the doctor thinks it might be blood clots. He has an appointment for a CATscan on Friday. Should I be concerned about cancer? If it is blood clots, anything he should do between now and his appointment?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Nodules on both upper lobes are mostly seen in infection like tuberculosis, blood clots, Pulmonary infarction and lung cancer.. So better to get done CT thorax with Contrast. This will give you the correct diagnosis.
If he is smoker than possibility of lung cancer and infection is more.
And no treatment is required at present. First diagnose himself and than start appropriate treatment because all these conditions require different treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
