Suggest Remedy For Bone Ailment

I fell off of a bike about a month ago, when to urgent care and they told me to wear a sling for a week and i'd be fine. They just called me today telling me that my radial head has a fracture and to go to an orthopedic specialist. Is this necessary after already having my arm out of the sling? I still have pain, and do not yet have full movement. I believe that it was more than likely a hairline fracture.
