Hi,
Noted the history about a fall on knees and palms, palms are scraped and bruised but more important is the pain in the left knee while walking.
Your history indicates that you have pain in left while walking suggestive of a possible
fracture of the knee cap called
patella. This is a superficial bone and can have fracture causing he painful walking.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor for clinical examination and get X-rays of the knee joint for patella in particular in 2 views as a standard practice.
If there is a fracture then you need to consult an Orthopedic Surgeon and get treated as per the findings. This can be a plaster or can be wiring and so on depending upon the findings.
If there is no fracture then you have to give rest to the knee, add on supportive knee cap, get a prescription based
analgesic with anti-inflammatory property.
Apply Liquid
povidone iodine to the bruises and wounds.
Get a shot of
Tetanus toxoid if needed.
Antibiotic if the cuts are deep or large.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
