Suggest Remedy For Bruised, Burning Lump Post A Fall?

Hi I play softball in high school and a week ago I slid into home plate. My fields are in very bad condition so the ground was very hard. I instantly had horrible pain on my thigh and then since then the bruise is getting worse and worse. Now there s a lump in the middle that hurts extremely bad to touch or even sometimes when I walk. The outside of the lump which is the only part with visible bruising doesn t really hurt at all.. Why does the lump burn as if it were a cut?

Hi,
The lump may be due to collection of blood in underlying soft tissues or inflammatory swelling of soft tissues. Burning pain is due to inflammation.
It is advisable to consult orthopedician for detailed clinical examination depending on clinical examination xray of thigh may be needed to rule out any bony injury.
