Suggest Remedy For Bruises On Torso

My husband hit with a golf ball..he was driving the ball and I was in his way. The ball hit me the the torso creating a very blue bruise, swelling and a extremely hot area. The ball was going very fast and was approx. 10 metres away. What should I watch out for??
