Suggest Remedy For Bruises On Wrist

I am a pianist who accompanies frequently. Yesterday as I was playing, my left wrist hurt (like carpel tunnel pain) and then a nickel sized bruise formed. There as no trauma involved. Should I be worried about this? It has never happened before. 51 years old.
