Suggest Remedy For Chest Congestion In Infants

My child is 11 months old weighing 8.9 kgs.. She was having throat infection few days before and temp 102.. Her chest is congested n she.z.also coughing..my dr has prescribed me baby geddit 2.5 ml for every 5 hrs..ambrodil 4 ml thrice and relent syp 2.5 ml twice a day..yet my baby s having congedtion

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chest congestion in infants which seems to be due to respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to give cough expectorants and give steam inhalation to child. You should give antibiotic in combination with antiallergic syrup. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done and start treatment after proper examination. Give child plenty of fluids to rehydrate the body. Apply mist humidifiers in room.
