Suggest Remedy For Child Soiling His Pants

My 6 year old has been pooping his pants for nearly two years now. I have tried everything. His pediatrician was completely unhelpful and I am having a difficult time getting an appointment with another one. He is on a wait list to speak to a counselor. I have been patient but now his school is refusing to promote him to the first grade. I don t know what to do and everything I read on forums either says be patient which I can no longer do, or suggests constipation, which I can assure you is not the case. Any new information or suggestions anyone could offer would be helpful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may need specialised help with a neurologist to evaluate the neurological state of your child which can be the cause of this problem. Also, I think you may need to visit a psychiatrist because psychological issues may have affected him and caused this situation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
