Hi, I'm so embarrassed to even come out and say it but I have really bad breath. I can't go to school or work without people holding there nose or coughing. My family tells me how bad it is but I brush 3 times a day scrap my tounge and floss so and I've been to the Denise it's not a lack of oral hygiene I can't seem to get close to any guy. Even my nephews tell me my breath smells like poop. It's so embarrassing I can't take it anymore Please help!
The bad breath from mouth is also known as Halitosis . This common problem and usually the cause of the problem lies in oral cavity like poor oral hygiene and any infection related to oral cavity like dental infection and gingivitis . But there can be other causes also like diabetes, liver disease, respiratory tract infections, and chronic bronchitis , acid reflux, postnasal drip, and other causes of chronic dry mouth (xerostomia). I would suggest you to consult dentist and gastroenterologist for proper examination and treatment of underlying cause . Till then maintain good oral hygiene , do warm saline rinses and suck on sugar free peppermint candy .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
