I am a 42 year old with chronic muscle pain and fatigue started around the age of 18 that i remember well to make a long story short I had blood work done and it said my carnitine levels show the total and free are within normal range but the carnitine esters was only 1 on a scale of 3.8-19.0 I also had a muscle biopsy done in novemeber which said mild variation in muscle fiber size.occasionalmuscle fibers show focal increase in sub sarcolemmal staining on SDH,cytochrome oxidase and NADH stains. Atrophic muscle fibers apear to be both type I and II. the did a electron microscopy which said there is a normal arraingment of both thick and thin muscle filaments mitochondria are present in normal numbers and have normal configuration abnormalities of lipid deposition are not noted scattered muscle fibers show focal increased glycogen accumulation can you help me better understand what this means
