Suggest Remedy For Chronic Nasal Blockage With Blood In Phlegm

I have a 4 year old son, who is constantly stuffed up, gets bloody noses just at night. He recently has been getting viral infections in his throat which are accompanied with fever. He has had that twice in 3 months timeframe. He does have allergies, but does not respond to any medications. He has had xrays on his adenoids and they are normal.

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

I think that your son has a viral fever which is caused by the infection. This is evident because of the fever and the runny nose that he is having. The allergies also point to this direction. A virus causes the release of white blood cells which causes release of certain cytokines that cause the fever or cause the runny nose. It is good that your son does not have adenoid swelling.

Here are a few things that you can do. You should not give your son medication as he is young and this can affect growth:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Drink lots of water
Sponge the body with luke warm water to reduce the body temperature
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times

Follow up after 5 days.
