Suggest Remedy For Cold Feet With Swelling

my mother sprained her foot a little over 48 hours ago. she tells me that her foot is cold, and has a little feeling. it feels more swollen than yesterday. she is on medication and has a brace. she also has been elevating it as much as possible. is there anything else we can do?
