Suggest Remedy For Constant Dizziness That's Debilitating

I'm a 19 yr old female. I have been experiencing constant (every second of every day) dizziness for a few years now. I've had two ct scans and they came back clear, my blood work is all fine and my heart is fine. It is getting so bad that it is almost debilitating. I can't work out, I can't go for walks, I am afraid to do anything for fear of falling. I'm desperate for answers

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query symptoms of constant dizziness that's debilitating are pointing towards injury to nerve endings in the middle ear. There can be many causes for nerve damage like exposure to loud sound, due to certain medicines like anti inflammatory. allergy, and sinusitis. Other reasons can be meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma oe migraine . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order blood test , CT scan , MRI or hearing test like audiogram. There are many treatment options doctor can opt like acoustic neural stimulation and anti-anxiety drugs. The ringing sound in ear is known as 'TINNITUS' and dizziness is known as ' VERTIGO'. These symptoms usually accompanied by hearing loss . If there is infection of middle ear or sinusitis then doctor may prescribe antibiotics . For now avoid loud sound , exercise for half an hour daily (light walk) , reduce intake of tea and coffee and try to keep stress level low.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
