Suggest Remedy For Constipation In A 3 Year Old
Hi.. My daughter is 3 1/2 years old. her weight is only 13.9 kgs. Reently she is having constipation. Ihave started giving her pediasure for last 2 days (only 2 spoons/ day).Is the constipation because of this? For breakfast- she has 1/2 cup of rice with boiled egg. then half cucumber. For lunch - Rice, fish and boiled vegetables (carrot, beans,potato, any other vegetable that are available at home). then one orange. Foe evening - 1 apple and then 1 glass milk (last two days had with pedia sure). Dinne- Rice/roti with fish and potato fry (she like this very much.

Yes pediasure can be a cause behind this constipation. As it is highly concentrated formula. So you can try skipping pediasure, your daughter may get relief from constipation. Your daughter's weight is good and you are giving very balanced food. Pediasure is not needed if child is gaining weight normally and eating natural food iyems well.
You should also give plenty of water, milk and fruit juices to avoid constipation. Two days constipation doesn't need any intervention, however you can try isabgol husk or cremagfin syrup for relief.
