Suggest Remedy For Cough In Children

hello doctor, my 2 yr old daughter coughs only when she goes to sleep. i gave her half a spoon alex p syrup for 3 days as told by the doctor, her cough reduced. but as soon as i stopped giving her cough as started again & she even vomits bcoz of the cough. plz advice

Thanks for posting your query .

Cough is either due to infection or allergy in the throat or in the Nose. So she is either having problem in the throat or nose and its either infection or allergy . This has to be found out and treatment has to be initiated as per the cause.

Simply giving Cough syrup will give a temporary relief but not a permanent cure . Kindly consult a Pediatrician and get her evaluated .
