Suggest Remedy For Cough With Mucus
dear doctor im 54 years old have had blood clots in my lungs four times since I was eighteen,i just had the flue in December now the least movements make me short winded ,going up the stairs kills me iv smoked for 30 years and trying to stop I started the patch on 3-4-14 I use albuterol which helps some but now im coughing clear mucus what should I be doing to clear the mucus and ease the coughing

You can drink plenty of water, hot drinks, soup, these would reduce the viscosity of sputum, if this is difficult to expectorant then you can use Bromhexine tab, three times in day, this medicine could cause tremor in arms so care need to be taken, better to discuss with your physician prior to taking this medicine may need some clinical examination, take care.
