Suggest Remedy For Coughing Bouts Causing Painful Chest And Heavy Breathing

Hi I have had a coughing fit for 2 weeks about 2 months ago and its been coming on for about a week now when I sneeze or laugh hard my left side hurts it feels like a hard pain its at the top of my left chest I have taken painkillers but not work and I sometimes find it hard to breath properly its sounds like I am heavy breathing I been told my friends and family what do I do?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you havecoughing bouts causing painful chest and heavy breathing is due to lung infection leading to bronchitis. I would suggest you to avoid taking hot, spicy and fried food. Avoid cold carbonated beverages an don't smoke and alcohol. Take expectorants. Z pack is the right course of medication. Apart from this is would suggest you to do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Steam inhalation is very effective for you. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test or virus culture test. You should get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment. Take decongestant nasal sprays containing mucinex for instant relief. Apply humidifiers in room.
