Suggest Remedy For Cramps And Heavy Bleeding After Going Off Birth Control

I got off birth control a little over 2 months ago. My first period off it was horrible, lasted 8 days and for two of those days I had to change a super tampon every 20-30 minutes and as soon as it was out clots would come pouring out along with horrible cramps. This is the start of my second period off birth control and the cramps are much worse and the bleeding is about the same. Should I go to the doctor? Also can I go to the doctor while I'm on my period or do I have to wait until its over? Also about 2 years ago they found mild cervical dysplasia but had another check up 6 months after and it was gone. I haven't been checked in over a year, could this mean anything?
