Suggest Remedy For Dark Skin On Face With Pimples If Betnovate GM Is Not Applied On Face

Hi doctor I am applying Betnovate GM on face for past 4 years.My face is bright & clear.But if i forget to apply one night on my face, next day it becomes dark & some pimples could find on my face.Direct me how to stop applying this cream on my face.

Welcome to healthcare magic.
Betnovate GM is a steroid preparation and should not be used for more than 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, many patients misuse such creams and end up in complications.
You may develop steroid induced rosacea which causes redness, burning, scaling and pimple like lesions which will worsen when you stop the cream.
You could try tapering the usage of the cream to twice or thrice a week . After 2-3 weeks, reduce the duration of application. Wash it off in 2-3 hours instead if keeping it overnight. Do this for another 2-3 weeks and stop the usage.
Simultaneously, you need to tackle rosacea which you could flare after stopping the steroid. You could use a sunscreen in the morning and metronidazole containing gel at bedtime.
